CMST 4040 - Sports Communication

This course examines the interrelationship between sports and media in today’s society; how that interrelationship reinforces social values and sometimes challenges social norms; and how sports and culture intersect. Students will study several approaches to sports and public discourse and will apply those approaches to create content applicable to sports organizations, the news media, and popular media. Offered as needed.

Prerequisite(s): CMST 2101 , CMST 2500 , CMST 3000 , or permission of instructor.
