    The internship is a structured and supervised work experience allowing chemistry majors to apply concepts learned in the chemistry classroom and lab.  Students must work 180 hours during the semester; keep a journal describing their work activities and hours worked; meet periodically with their instructor; read pertinent literature assigned by the instructor; and submit a final written assignment describing the learning value of their internship.
