Survey of children’s literature across time, genres, and media with a focus on analysis and evaluation of literary selections, the use of children’s literature to build literacy skills, and the value of children’s literature to positively impact the intellectual, social, and emotional growth of children. Prerequisite(s): admission to the Professional Teacher Education Program or permission of the chair of the Department of Education.
